oh what a shame
OMG I HATE THIS. i take vitamins/supplements every morning and usually they sit on my little plate amid toast crumbs and i have to use the last delicious sips of my tea to knock em back. the B complex has a gross way of completely ruining the sweet aftertaste of my lovely irish breakfast. blasted pills! sometimes i get so disgruntled about it i will stubbornly walk to the kitchen and put on the kettle and fix my taste buds with another cup.the last few swallows of my tea were spent aiding pills safely down my delicate throat.
YES! i do the same thing. vitimins RUIN a good cup of irish breakfast (i’m a barry’s irish breakfast tea whore). as a matter of fact… i’m going to put another kettle on right now. let’s share a cup together. tumblr style.

People are dumb
So there’s this article on Digg about how walmart is expanding into urban areas.
I left a comment saying that people in urban areas don’t need walmarts because there are plenty of places to shop.
Some asshole commented after me and proceded to explain to me how there are no places to buy veggies or ingrediants anywhere in poor urban neighborhoods.
I proceded to school his ignorant ass on the fact that I was raised in a poor urban neighborhood and was within walking distance to at least 5 supermarkets, and plenty of shopping districts.
Fuck that guy, and fuck walmart.
unfortunately that’s not the case here in chicago. poor south side urban neighborhoods don’t have many places to buy wholesome foods unless you consider the corner store, mcdonalds, burger king, dunkin donuts, or wendy’s wholesome food.
it’s much cheaper to spend what little money you have on dollar menu burgers and fries full of fat and salt than it is to take a bus (@ 2.25 per direction), go food shopping, get home (another 2.25), cook it all up and eat it.
it’s been a huge problem here, and it’s totally not right because the less money and options you have means your overall health is at risk. why should poor people die sooner because they don’t have access to healthy choices?
